Academic and Business Design’s hands-on grant writing training increases your chances of winning competitive grants.  Our grant researching and proposal development workshops are custom designed for novice and advanced grant writers, depending on need.

If your non-profit organization needs funding, then grant writing training will be of significant benefit.    A Certified Grant Writer can teach your staff to be effective grant researchers and composers while working as part of a grant writing team. Teach your staff to research and write grants and then have a grant consultant perform a review of the final draft. Our One-on-one Grant-writers Training / Coaching Includes:

Ì    General guidance during the grant writing process.  We provide a thorough understanding of the grant process from the request for proposals and program development to writing the final budget and proposal. We give our clients tools for reading and understanding the RFP, gathering required information, exploring program options, outlining the proposal, delegating work responsibilities, writing the grant and other tips for selling your program/project. 

Ì    Coaching for members of your organization to improve their ability to write winning proposals. Establishment of deadlines for sections and attachments for the proposal.

Ì     Tips on the world of foundations, understanding their expectations, and tools for writing the actual grant proposal.  For federal grants, we provide a summary of the sections, the required questions, and the implicit questions. 

Ì    Alignment - Coaching to assist administrators and leadership teams in aligning all planning processes and documents. Because change is most effective when launched from inside an organization, we facilitate collaboration among all stakeholders to harness the brainpower of your educational leaders to produce results. 

Ì    Technical Assistance, offering teams face-to-face and phone assistance focused on the actual preparation of grant application packages.

Facilitated planning sessions can take place over an extended period of time or a concentrated multi-day period.  Planning options range from one-time design consultation to long-term comprehensive strategic planning processes. 

Fee:  $500 per day, $250 – ½ Day     $50 per hour preparation time.

"Researching Grants and Introduction to Proposal Writing Workshop"

This one-day workshop is designed for Grant Writers from Non-Profit Organizations, Religious Organizations, Schools, and Government Agencies.  It is appropriate for beginning or intermediate grant researchers and writers.      Workshops are appropriate for proposal writers, executive directors, school principals and central office staff, grant committee members, board of directors, and all those who are interested in acquiring additional funding sources.

The workshop format will include large group lecture/discussion.  Participants may bring their laptops computers for note-taking.

Workshop Prices

Registration fee – $129.00 per person   An Attendance Certificate is provided to those who attend the workshop in its entirety and complete the workshop evaluation.

·         Registration fee for a group of 2 from the same organization is $119.00 per person.

·         Registration fee for a group of 3 or more from the same organization is $99.00 per person.

·         Registration and payment must be received no later than three days prior to the workshop.

·         Online course fee is $99 for AGWA Members; $129 for non-members.
